Security Officer, Senior

LC State invites applications for the position of Security Officer, Senior.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications : $17.50 - $18.00 per hour

Required Qualifications :

• At least 1 year of experience in a security-related field.
• Possession of a current, valid state driver's license upon employment.
• Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Internet Explorer / Firefox / Chrome.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Good knowledge of self-defense measures, First Aid / CPR / AED, security problems, and safety hazards as they relate to a college or university setting which includes a large complex of buildings and grounds, students, staff, faculty, and community members.
• Experience performing investigations incidental to security activities and completing investigative reports.
• Good knowledge of building security procedures.
• Experience applying fire and life safety hazards.
• Experience evaluating and handling disturbances and security emergencies reading, applying, and following written and oral instructions.
