Tax Associate Position

A top CPA firm in the area is looking to add a Tax Associate to their team. This stable and growing firm offers clients valuable knowledge and expertise in tax. Due to the recent growth of the firm, there is an opportunity for a Tax Associate to join a team of highly motivated staff.

Responsibilities:

1. Organizing and analyzing clients' financial information
2. Establishing and updating client records
3. Preparing necessary forms for filing taxes
4. Advising clients about tax liabilities and other tax-related matters
5. Filing tax returns on paper or electronically on behalf of clients
6. Staying current on IRS and state and local tax rules and regulations and ensuring full compliance
7. Assisting with audits by gathering and preparing financial information

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA preferred or eligible
• 1+ years of proven experience in public accounting preferred
• Analytical skills to review financial information
• Strong written and oral communication skills to explain information to clients
• Knowledge of IRS rules and regulations as well as state and local tax laws
• Familiarity with tax preparation and accounting software and electronic tax filing systems
• Multitasking skills to handle multiple clients' tax preparations at the same time
• Organizational skills to maintain clean records
• Strong time management skills to complete work within strict deadlines
