Responsibilities Position in a hospital Stepdown Unit float pool Cares for cardiac stepdown and progressive care patients Schedule consists of 3x12 hour shifts, rotating day and night (7am-7 : 30pm and 7pm-7 : 30am) Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs and may require rotation between days and nights Traveler may be floated to other stepdown or similar units as needed Must be able to work at least every other holiday Permanent and per diem candidates must wait one year before returning to employment at this hospital system Background checks must be clear of open cases and license must be free of any restrictions Fingerprinting and badging must be completed onsite prior to the start date Required pre-start training modules must be completed prior to assignment and may be repeated annually Nurses are currently exempt from the facility's nicotine-free policy PAPRs will not be available for caregivers with facial hair unless an approved medical or religious exemption is in place Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate Requirements Active OH or compact state RN license required at the time of consideration Minimum of 18 months of permanent recent Cardiac Stepdown experience required AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be current ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate tests must be passed during orientation At least one supervisory professional reference from the specialty is required for consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624720.
