Job Summary :

As Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for executing a variety of accounting procedures, including but not limited to month-end and year-end closing, account reconciliations, general ledger entries, and financial analysis. This role is designed to transition to property Financial Analyst. This position's starting wage is $24.

Essential Functions :

• Develops, maintains a Service Culture that ensures delivery of Superior internal / external guest service by all team members
• Preparation of daily, monthly and quarterly financial reports
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts including bank account reconciliations
• Prepare closing general ledger entries
• Assist in preparation and transmission of the daily, weekly and monthly tax remittance information
• Assist in preparation of Illinois Gaming Board Reports
• Assist independent auditors, Illinois Gaming Board Auditors and Internal Auditor as required
• Ensures the department adheres to all regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures
• Work with department heads to ensure monthly expense estimates are accurate
• Aid in the preparation of the annual budget
• Work closely with Corporate Accounts Payable to ensure timely payment of invoices
• All other duties assigned
