Bar Manager Requirements & Qualifications – What Hunter Will Prioritize Screening For :
2+ years of bar management experience in a high-volume venueProven ability to lead and develop a teamStrong knowledge of inventory control and bar costingCurrent Food Handler’s and Alcohol Server Certification (where required by law)Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidaysMust Haves :
Ability to create weekly staff schedules that balance labor targets and team needsComfortable conducting and overseeing regular bar inventory countsProactively manage vendor relationships and liquor ordersHands-on support during service—leading from the floor, not behind a deskCollaborate with events or marketing teams on drink specials and seasonal menusHandle guest issues swiftly to ensure a positive experienceBar Manager Preferred Background & Skills :
Experience with POS systems and bar management software (e.g., BevSpot, Toast)Knowledge of current mixology trends and cocktail innovationPrior experience opening a new bar or launching beverage programsPassion for staff training and implementing service standardsHospitality or business management education
