Are you passionate about the arts and looking to make a meaningful impact in your community? BCAC, a small non-profit arts organization, is seeking a dedicated and experienced volunteer to join our Finance Committee.

Brighton Cultural Arts Connection (BCAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that hosts fun events, art shows, and collaborative activities that connect the community through the arts, foster creativity, and engage the residents of Brighton and nearby communities. BCAC is committed to fostering a vibrant arts community by providing accessible programs and events. We rely on the support of our volunteers to help us achieve our mission and ensure the sustainability of our initiatives.

Role Description

The Finance Committee plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial health of BCAC. As a volunteer member, you will contribute to :

Financial Oversight : Reviewing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and reports.

Budgeting : Assisting in the development and monitoring of annual budgets.

Financial Planning : Providing input on financial strategies and long-term planning.

Compliance : Ensuring adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications :

Experience : Experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Skills : Ability to read budgets, balance sheets and use Google Docs.

Commitment : Ability to dedicate 4-8 hours per month to committee meetings and related tasks.

Passion : A genuine interest in supporting the arts and the mission of BCAC.
