Truck Driver

Description : IAM Hourly represented employees who currently work at the main (Sunnyvale / Palo Alto) unit, Santa Cruz, Vandenburg Air Force Base or Eastern Range facilities must apply to open requisitions on Brass Ring to be considered for the position.

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY

Operate single vehicle motor trucks to transport cargo on or off Company property. Rig,

load, secure and unload cargo with material handling equipment.

WORK PERFORMED

Operate single vehicle motor trucks to transport cargo on or off Company property; tow

material handling equipment; drive truck tractors (without trailers) as required. Pick up

and deliver cargo at any location, on or off Company property.

Rig, load, secure and unload cargo in various stages of packaging or protection to

prevent damage or loss, using powered material handling equipment.

Complete necessary documentation such as driver logs and shipping and procurement

documentation and reconcile item description, part numbers and quantities.

TYPICAL MATERIALS, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED

Materials : Raw materials, parts, supplies, assemblies, tooling, machinery, salvage

items, completed end-products and equipment.

Equipment : Motor trucks, truck tractors, material handling equipment necessary to load,

unload, protect, and secure cargo.

Basic Qualifications :

• Knowledge of Company transportation regulations; must possess a valid State of California Class B driver's license.
• Must possess, or obtain within 90 days, all LMSC issued

safety licenses required by law to operate material handling equipment normally used by employees in this classification.

Knowledge of Campus Roads and Streets : Familiarity with campus roads, streets, and parking areas.

Commercial vehicle with a seating capacity of 10 to 16 or more passengers, including the driver

Two-way radio or other communication device for dispatch and emergency communication

GPS or other navigation system for route optimization and tracking

Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with a passenger endorsement

Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a commercial driver, with a focus on passenger transportation.

Excellent driving record and safety history

Security Clearance Statement : This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedules : Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position : Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week

The base range for this position in California is $26.12 - $44.79.
