As an Incident Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence across a high-availability SaaS platform. You will coordinate incident response efforts, drive clarity in communications, and facilitate swift resolution while keeping stakeholders informed. The role requires balancing real-time operational needs with process improvement initiatives, enabling teams to operate efficiently across time zones. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and leadership to track trends, implement preventative measures, and continuously enhance system reliability. Accountabilities :
- Lead incident response communications, coordinating across engineering, product, support, and leadership teams.
- Ensure timely and accurate updates are provided to internal teams, executives, and customers.
- Drive incident coordination in both synchronous and asynchronous contexts for distributed teams.
- Maintain clear incident timelines, roles, and actions without assuming technical ownership.
- Utilize and optimize incident management tools for streamlined reporting, tracking, and communication.
- Facilitate blameless postmortems, ensuring follow-ups are owned, completed, and outcomes are documented.
- Track incident trends, analyze metrics, and recommend improvements to reduce impact and enhance response efficiency.
- Present incident reports and trend insights to executive leadership.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen incident response processes and enhance customer trust.
Requirements
Experience managing incident communications in a SaaS or cloud environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills, adaptable for executives and customers.Hands-on experience with modern incident management tools such as Incident.io, Rootly, or FireHydrant.Proven ability to analyze incident metrics, identify trends, and present actionable insights to leadership.Experience facilitating blameless postmortems and ensuring follow-ups are completed.Familiarity with SRE and DevOps practices.Ability to remain organized, calm, and focused under pressure.Commitment to transparency, clarity, and trust in incident management.Bonus : Background in SRE, DevOps, or technical program management; experience supporting distributed teams; understanding of SLIs, SLOs, and reliability frameworks.Benefits
