School Nurse

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college / university, preferred.
• Valid New Jersey School Nurse Certification or eligibility required.
• Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• CPR / AED and First Aid Certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in pediatric, school, or community health settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, staff, families, and outside agencies.
• Knowledge of child growth and development, public health, and school health law.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.

REPORTS TO :

Building Principal and / or Chief School Administrator

JOB GOAL :

To provide comprehensive health services to students and staff, promote a healthy and safe school environment, and ensure compliance with all state and district health regulations and procedures.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :

Ten (12 month position available) . Salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Trustees and based on the School Nurse Salary Guide
