Job purpose Reporting to the Program Manager for Cancer Care Health Equity, the Community Health Worker for Cancer Care (Lung Cancer Screening) is a community ambassador, educator, and navigator for cancer prevention at Fair Haven Community Health Care (FHCHC).
The role coordinates FHCHC’s patient-facing efforts at preventing cancers of all types, including breast, cervical, colorectal, and lung.
The role effectively communicates about cancer prevention in ways that resonate with communities served by FHCHC.
Duties and responsibilities The Community Health Worker for Cancer Care (Lung Cancer Screening) will perform direct outreach to patients requiring cancer screening to provide education about the risk factors and the importance of early detection.
