Contract IT Technician - Epic Conversion Project (Port Charlotte, FL)
We are seeking skilled and experienced Contract IT Technicians to assist with a critical, high-volume electronic equipment conversion project at a major hospital facility in Port Charlotte, Florida . This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience on a large-scale Epic implementation.

Contract Details : Duration : 3 Weeks
Start Date : December 1, 2025
End Date : December 19, 2025
Standard Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM
Mandatory Overtime : Saturday, December 6th and Sunday, December 7th
Pay rate : $22 / hr. (non-negotiable)
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the IT Technician will be the physical deployment, configuration, and conversion of hospital electronic equipment as the facility transitions from the Cerner electronic health record (EHR) system to Epic. Tasks include :
- Equipment Deployment : Physically replacing and installing new or re-imaged computers, phones, tablets, pin pads, and printers across various hospital departments.
- Imaging and Configuration : Utilizing imaging tools to deploy the new Epic environment image onto workstations and ensuring all necessary drivers and configurations are set up correctly.
- Functionality Testing : Performing post-conversion testing on all devices to ensure full network connectivity and proper operation within the Epic environment.
- Troubleshooting : Identifying and resolving technical issues (hardware and software) encountered during the deployment process.
- Documentation : Accurately tracking completed equipment swaps and reporting deployment status to the project lead.
- Customer Service : Providing courteous and professional support to hospital staff during the transition period.
Requirements & Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of 2 years of hands-on IT support experience (desktop, hardware, and network troubleshooting).Imaging Proficiency : Required experience with computer imaging , deployment tools, and system provisioning.Technical Skills : Strong understanding of PC hardware components, mobile devices (tablets / phones), peripherals (printers, pin pads), and Windows operating systems.Soft Skills : Excellent attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a fast-paced deployment team.Physical Demands : Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs, bend, stand, and move equipment throughout a hospital setting.Compliance & Facility Policy :
