Job Title : Site Supervisor (Sports)

POSITION SUMMARY :
The Site Supervisor plays a vital role in advancing the YMCAs mission of strengthening community by connecting people to their potential, purpose, and one another. This position ensures the safe, clean, and welcoming operation of assigned program locations while supporting youth participants, families, and volunteers. Site Supervisors provide leadership during scheduled games or activities and help uphold the YMCAs commitment to fairness, respect, and fun. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Oversee site setup, teardown, and cleanliness including fields, gyms, bathrooms, and surrounding areas.
- Support a positive environment for players, coaches, and spectators through visibility and active engagement.
- Ensure safety and enforce YMCA rules, responding to incidents or concerns with professionalism and care.
- Supervise participants and volunteers during games and events; communicate regularly with officials and coaches.
- Monitor equipment and facility needs; perform basic upkeep and communicate maintenance issues promptly.
- Model professional behavior while following YMCA policies related to confidentiality, conduct, and behavioral expectations.
- Manage site logistics, such as unlocking / locking facilities and ensuring timely game transitions.
- Report site concerns or incidents to the Sports & Recreation Director.
- Model YMCA core values and use the Y-Voice : Welcoming, Hopeful, Determined, Genuine, and Nurturing. Support and guide other staff in demonstrating these behaviors consistently across the program.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the YMCAs mission and strategic goals.

Must be at least 18 years of age.General knowledge of sport rules and site operations.Completion of YMCA Online Officials Training prior to first scheduled event.Certification in Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting and Emergency Procedures (or willingness to obtain upon hire).Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to promote a positive, respectful atmosphere among players, coaches, and families.Previous experience working with youth or sports programs preferred.Understands that the YMCA is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).REQUIRED TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS (or willingness to obtain upon hire) :
Bloodborne Pathogens Training (or equivalent approved by the YMCA)Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting CertificationEmergency Procedures TrainingCPR and First Aid CertificationOnline Officials Training (YMCA or equivalent)WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds using proper technique.Must be able to run, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods.Work is primarily outdoors and may include exposure to various weather conditions.Ability to respond quickly to physical or behavioral situations during games or events.Requires bending, reaching, and quick physical response in active game settings.Must demonstrate emotional resilience, professionalism, and judgment in competitive environments.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform theessential functions.
