As a dynamic and growing organization, we're looking for a motivated Accounting Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in real estate accounting.

What You'll Do

As a paid intern, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience in a professional setting, guided by our experienced team members. You'll play a crucial role in various aspects of accounting, including, but not limited to :

• Monthly Close Support : Complete bank, credit card, and escrow reconciliations accurately and on time. Validate assigned accounts (prepaid, accrued, reserve) with clear documentation and minimal revisions.
• Accounts Payable Accuracy : Process vendor invoices in AppFolio with correct GL coding, property tagging, and capitalization vs. expense classification. Maintain an invoice error rate below 5% and promptly follow up on discrepancies.
• Accounts Receivable Accuracy : Conduct AR reconciliations and tenant ledger reviews monthly with accurate documentation. Identify and resolve discrepancies within one business week.
• Learning & Professional Development : Demonstrate growing proficiency in Excel, AppFolio, and property accounting workflows. Build understanding of accounting principles and how they apply to real estate operations.
