About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience :

2 years of experience required in a hospital setting

No travel experience if over 4 years

License :

Valid nursing license required

Certifications :

BLS (Basic Life Support) required

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required

NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) preferred

Must-Have :

Ability to care for patients with potential mental health diagnoses

Cardiac self-rating of 3 or above

Basic dysrhythmia training preferred with self-rating of 3 or above

Description :

Position requires working 3 night shifts per week.

Ratios for patient care are 1 : 5, with the potential for 1 : 6-7.

Weekend shifts are required, with 3 shifts mandated every 6 weeks.

All candidates must be familiar with the EPIC charting system.

The unit provides care for a diverse patient population, including those with altered mental status, CHF, stroke, and infections.

Candidates must have strong skills in central line blood draws, chest tube management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias.

Attendance policy is strict, with a zero-fault rule in place.

Missed shifts, regardless of reason, count as unexcused and can lead to warnings or cancellation.

A maximum of 5 days off is allowed throughout the assignment with no holiday time off permitted.

Travelers will not be accepted if they have previously worked as travelers or permanent employees in this facility.
