Senior Accountant
A senior accountant is responsible for overseeing key accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations, and maintaining compliance with regulations. Senior accountants often serve as a critical liaison between the accounting team and upper management, providing financial insights and contributing to strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Reporting : Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other reports to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- General Ledger Management : Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and maintenance of the general ledger.
- Budgeting & Forecasting : Assist in preparing budgets and providing financial forecasts to support business objectives.
- Auditing Support : Coordinate and support internal or external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Compliance : Ensure adherence to GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting regulations and standards.
- Process Improvement : Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting processes and systems.
- Mentorship : Provide guidance and training to entry level accountants, encouraging detail oriented development and team collaboration.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.CPA certification is often preferred.3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role or industry.Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced knowledge of Excel.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
