Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time Special Education Teacher position focuses on serving students in grades 6 through 8 with behavioral needs. The contract runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, providing a valuable opportunity to support and impact young learners during this critical time.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students behavioral and academic needs
- Employ evidence-based behavioral intervention strategies to promote positive student outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including counselors and support staff, to address student challenges and track progress
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with special education regulations
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages growth and learning
Desired Qualifications and Experience :
Valid teaching certification in Special EducationExperience working with middle school students, particularly grades 6-8Proficiency in managing behavioral challenges and creating effective behavior plansStrong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with school staff and familiesAbility to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needsLocation : Peoria, AZ
