Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time Special Education Teacher position focuses on serving students in grades 6 through 8 with behavioral needs. The contract runs from ASAP through the end of the school year, providing a valuable opportunity to support and impact young learners during this critical time.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students behavioral and academic needs
  • Employ evidence-based behavioral intervention strategies to promote positive student outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including counselors and support staff, to address student challenges and track progress
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with special education regulations
  • Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages growth and learning

Desired Qualifications and Experience :

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with middle school students, particularly grades 6-8
  • Proficiency in managing behavioral challenges and creating effective behavior plans
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with school staff and families
  • Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
