York General Hospital is a 25-bed critical access facility offering a wide range of primary care and specialty services

Location Group Notes

York General has a 10,000 square foot wellness center on-site (second floor) that is open to the public and provides a positive workout experience with aerobic and strengthening options including : Personal trainer services, Circuit training, one-on-one consultations, treadmills, weight machines , free weights, arc trainers walking track, locker room saunas, tanning beds. Travelers may join for a very low monthly fee!

Location Notes

The Hearthstone is a 127-bed skilled nursing / rehabilitation facility that provides assistance with activities of daily living and a variety of services including :

Skilled Nursing Care, In-house Rehabilitation Services, Memory Support Care, Adult Day Care and Respite Care

Travelers can park on the East side of the building and will be provided with a key fob to enter. There is a timekeeping system that they must punch in / out of by the employee entrance.

Department Notes

There are 3 households on each side of the facility; each household is light care, moderate care, or heavy care. Each household has a country kitchen and their own bath house. The heavy care households have ceiling lifts in each room, about half of the medium care households have ceiling lifts in the room. Additionally, each staff member is equipped with their own sit-to-stand lift each shift.

At times, one (1) Nurse or one (1) Medication Aide will be responsible for one (1) hall with 13 residents. Most of the residents on that hall are self-care.

Responsibilities include :

About half of their rooms are private, which will change to about 80% private rooms once their renovations are complete. They have a wireless call light system that operates as a phone and pager. Utilize bubble packs for medications and do occasionally have IV medications (Baxter pumps).
