We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Mechanic to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role is essential to ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our production operations through troubleshooting, repair, and providing continuous improvement for Nutritional Processing and / or Packaging equipment involving mechanical components. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to equipment repair and diagnostics, a strong understanding of process control systems, and hands-on experience with PdM technologies. In this role, you will execute with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail all work orders (PM, PDM, Corrective, and Emergency Work) at the direction of Maintenance and Operations Supervision.Your responsibilitiesMaintain a positive attitude in all work situationsHold the safety of themselves and others they work with in top regard Perform PMd Routes using PdM Technologies (Themography, Ultrasonic, Vibration Analysis) Troubleshoot and repair processing equipment working with equipment vendors as necessaryAssist manufacturing representatives, Project Engineering, Contract Engineering, and departmental personnel on new equipment installationProvide on-the-job training for machine operators and maintenance traineesModify existing equipment and identify alternative measures for correcting or improving equipment performanceAssists development of preventive and predictive maintenance procedures for all plant assetsMust be able to follow and maintain detailed repair procedures and have good communication skillsInspect, operate and test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctionsProvide support for root cause analysis so long term corrective actions can put in place to prevent reoccurrenceMust be able to work from drawings, schematics, sketches, work orders and verbal instructionAble to use precision measuring tools and understand tolerancesMaintain complete records of work performed using CMMS and detailed work / equipment logsMust have experience with setup and operations of machining and shop toolsContact manufacturers’ service technicians when necessary for assistance in repair or replacement of faulty equipmentAbility to balance priorities while performing work according to all applicable GMP environmental regulationsTimely diagnose and repair of equipment to minimize production downtimeAbility to quickly escalate and communicate equipment issues to others for additional support and resourcesOther duties as assigned The experience we're looking forSuccessful Applicant must have one (1) of the following : Have a two year Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology plus at least one (1) year of experienceHave completed a certified machine repair apprenticeship program plus at least two (2) years experienceHave a minimum of five (5) years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience or manufacturing operational experienceHave successfully completed the IVY Tech Assessment and Standard Timing Model mechanical assessment and Comprehensive TestingHave strong team oriented skills and excellent interperdonal skills Being a self-starter, ability to work effectively with minimal supervisionGood organizational and planning initiativeBe willing to learn new job-related skills along with troubleshooting and analytical knowledge What we offerWith inclusion at the heart of everything we do, working alongside our four global Employee Resource Groups, we support our people at every step of their career journey, helping them to succeed in their own individual way.
