The City of Brentwood is seeking a highly motivated, talented, and dynamic professional to join our team as a Construction Inspector II. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of our community by ensuring safe, high-quality construction across public and private projects. Under the direction of the Senior Construction Inspector, this position is responsible for directing, managing, and leading inspection activities for encroachment permits, CIP projects, and private development projects. These include, but are not limited to, the construction of streets, storm drainage systems, landscaping, lighting, sanitary sewer facilities, potable and non-potable water facilities, and other utilities that directly serve Brentwood residents and businesses. Successful candidates should possess good interpersonal, management, and leadership skills with the ability to easily relate and adjust to a variety of engineering and construction related situations. This position is ideal for a hands-on individual who enjoys tackling a wide variety of construction and engineering-related tasks and projects. The role involves working closely with engineers, contractors, residents, and other staff to support a high-performing, customer service-oriented work environment. The examination process will consist of :

Eligible List : All applicants that pass the examination process will be placed on the eligible list which is good for at least 6 months and may be extended up to an additional 18 months. This eligible list will be used by the City of Brentwood to fill all current and future openings in this classification as long as the list is active.
