Job description

We are seeking a Podiatry Nurse Practitioner for a 48-day locum tenens role in Louisiana. This position starts on Sep 1, 2025, and involves day shifts, Monday to Friday, with flexibility in the schedule. The selected candidate will provide specialized foot care in home and nursing home settings, focusing on routine nail maintenance, diabetic foot care, and treatment of various foot-related injuries and conditions.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Routine nail maintenance, including :
  • Nail trimming
  • In-grown nail treatment
  • Nail infection treatment
  • Diabetic foot care, including :
  • Treatment of diabetic ulcers
  • Management of diabetic neuropathy
  • Treatment of other foot-related conditions, such as :
  • Corns
  • Calluses
  • Wounds

    • Additional Information

  • Must be licensed in Louisiana
  • Experience with elderly patients preferred
  • Proficiency in using Nextgen EMR system
