Traveling Construction Superintendent

📍 Based out of Greater Milwaukee, WI (Can Live Anywhere in the U.S.)

💰 Salary : $110k-$130k + Allowances + Full Benefits(medical, vision, dental) + Bonus Program

Position Overview :

We are seeking a Traveling Superintendent to join our growing construction team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a proven track record managing large-scale commercial renovations and retail buildouts . Youll be responsible for overseeing all field operations from project mobilization through closeout, maintaining schedules, budgets, safety, and quality standards on the road.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage daily field operations for renovation and ground-up retail projects nationwide.
  • Supervise subcontractors, site crews, and vendors to ensure quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Architects, and Owners to deliver projects efficiently and on budget.
  • Maintain site documentation, daily logs, and progress photos.
  • Oversee site safety programs and ensure all OSHA and company standards are followed.
  • Handle project punch lists, closeout, and turnover documentation.
  • Travel regularly across the U.S. to assigned job sites.

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Construction Manager in commercial or retail construction.
  • Strong knowledge of renovation and tenant improvement processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and construction documents.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to manage multiple subcontractors and trades.
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationwide (100% travel required).
  • Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
