Responsibilities Position is in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a hospital Night shift schedule from 7 : 00pm to 7 : 30am, three 12-hour shifts per week Patient care involves critically ill cardiovascular patients, including those requiring advanced interventions Epic EMR experience is required Patient population includes Level 1 Trauma cases Provide evidence-based patient care using the nursing process, protocols, and procedures Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans Adapt teaching strategies to meet patient and family education needs using the SVI patient education system and other hospital resources Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives on the unit Must complete all required documentation, including shift reports and event reports RTO may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract Contingent workers may not be continuously assigned for more than one year and must take a 6-month break before possible return No travel partners accepted for this position Requirements Active Illinois RN license or compact RN license accepted Minimum of one year of relevant RN experience required Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association Demonstrated Level 1 Trauma experience Epic charting system experience is required Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-611655.
