Summary
Join our lens manufacturing team as a Operations Technician, a hybrid role responsible for troubleshooting complex machine issues, performing equipment repairs, executing preventative maintenance on optical and industrial machinery, and operating critical lab processing equipment to ensure optimal production operations and product quality.

Machine Maintenance & Repair - 30%
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, piping, and electrical systems throughout the laboratory.
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs on production machines.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly, calibrations and preventative maintenance on the - Bisphera, TBA, 641, EzeFit & 7E edgers, conveyor belt and tray stacking systems.
- Complete timely production machine repairs and document processes in work order tracking system.
- Maintain current parts inventory in excel. Track any parts / equipment shipped out for repair.
- Perform calibration and verify test standards meet required tolerances
- Manage repair and calibration of tools and measurement devices
- Install optical equipment and collaborate with engineering teams
- Interpret engineering schematics and procedures for machine diagnostics
- Maintain control and traceability of tooling for shop and vendor operations
- Update calibration methods and procedures as required
- Keep logs if equipment errors and correction methods from various vendors.
Facilities Maintenance - 10%
Perform general building maintenance repairsEnsure facility infrastructure supports production operationsRespond to facility maintenance requests in a timely mannerMaintain safe and functional work environments across all production areasInspect chemical cabinets, fire extinguisher, exit signs, AED & Alarms monthly and document.Lab Technician (Pre-Product & Production) - 60%
Will be cross-trained and required to support multiple facets of pre-production and production floor operations.Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED requiredOne-year certification from college / technical school OR two years directly related maintenance experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceOptical experience in tracing, blocking, edging and final inspecting a plus but not requiredPhysical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periodsOccasionally required to stop, kneel, crouch or crawlFrequent hand manipulation, reach with hands and arms and tactile operationsLift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds on occasionOccasionally required to use stools or ladders to reach high shelvingClose vision abilities and capacity to adjust focusSafety Requirements
