Escrow Specialist
Utah Housing Corporation (UHC) in West Valley City is looking for an organized, motivated professional to join our team as an Escrow Specialist. If you excel at providing outstanding customer service and enjoy a fast-paced environment, this full-time role could be your ideal next step. As our new Escrow Specialist, you will play a role as a main point of contact for homeowners, attorneys, vendors, and the public, representing UHC with professionalism and care. In this role, you will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls, addressing mortgagor inquiries, and resolving customer concerns with warmth and efficiency. You will manage various escrow tasks, including hazard insurance claims, MIP and tax payments, and MERS reconciliation, ensuring each interaction is handled promptly and professionally. Additionally, you will support our Customer Service team by processing deposits, setting up ACH payments, updating account information, and managing loan payoffs.
UHC offers a competitive salary range of $38,500 to $49,500 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including vacation and sick leave, twelve paid holidays, employer contributions to the Utah Retirement Systems (URS), and a choice of health plans through the Public Employee Health Program (PEHP). We also provide dental and vision coverage, flexible spending accounts, life and accident insurance, and retirement options, including 401(k), 457, IRA, and Roth IRA plans.
Your day-to-day responsibilities as our Escrow Specialist will include welcoming walk-in customers, managing voicemail messages, and promptly processing requests within a 24-hour window. You will oversee hazard insurance claims, manage property tax and MIP records, maintain accurate MERS data, and conduct monthly and annual audits, making a meaningful difference in each customer interaction. The ideal candidate for our Escrow Specialist role will have a high school diploma or equivalent (a college degree is a plus) and bring three years of experience in mortgage servicing or customer service. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential. While bilingual skills are a plus, they are not required. This role calls for excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well within a team.
At Utah Housing Corporation, our mission is to serve Utah's housing needs through finance and innovation. We are guided by core values-integrity, respect, communication, teamwork and collaboration, and growth and development-which shape how we work together and how we support the communities we serve. We are looking for someone who embodies these values in their daily work and takes pride in contributing to a purpose-driven organization. If you are ready to contribute to UHC's mission, we encourage you to apply. We look forward to the opportunity to meet you!
