JOB DESCRIPTION : The Registered Nurse Charge is a leadership role providing guidance and support to direct reports. This role will act as the leader for clinical nursing needs on night shift.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Duties and responsibilities of Registered Professional Nurse are :

• Serves in a leadership role through clinical practice, supervision, teaching and research.
• Coordinates with leadership on schedules and timecards.
• Oversee staffing for nursing department.
• Responsible for employee performance evaluations.
• Assesses the full scope of patient needs using the nursing process on a continuous basis.
• Provides a safe environment for patients and employees through identifying / correcting / reporting health and safety hazards.
• Cooperates with distribution of resources to maintain a therapeutic environment.
• Maintains interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors and co-workers.
• Accountable for nursing practice through planned and continuous professional growth and development.
• Uses knowledge and judgement needed to meet the nursing needs of patient.

This is a full-time, night shift position.

WORK ENVIORNMENT

This job operates in a 24-hour residential treatment facility.
