Job Title : Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled pharmacy technician for a contract position in a long-term care setting. This role is to cover an extended leave of absence and holds the potential for extension. The initial contract period is from November 10, 2025, to January 30, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret prescriptions accurately.
  • Enter prescription data into the system efficiently.
  • Meet productivity and quality goals consistently.
  • Flexibly transition between fulfillment and processing tasks.
  • Train new hires and effectively communicate across departments.

Essential Skills

  • Clear phone communication for physician interactions.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Strong adaptability and multitasking abilities.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in pharmacy, data entry, and dispensing.
  • Experience with order entry, prior authorization, and customer service.
  • Understanding of pharmacy benefits management.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the pharmacy field.
  • Active Minnesota Pharmacy Technician License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (can be renewed or acquired upon acceptance of position).
  • Work Environment

    The position is based in a long-term care pharmacy open Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM. The environment supports flexibility between various tasks and departments, fostering a collaborative and communicative workplace culture.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00 / hr.
