1 : 1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed - Oneida NY (BW - RR)

A 33-year-old male in the Oneida area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist him with, his independent living skills, healthy lifestyle skills, being active in his community, and help him with choosing activities to his liking.

He spends most of his time playing video games, although he also enjoys watching television, being on his computer and reading comic books. He also enjoys getting out of his house to go to stores, walking, if weather permits, and out to lunch.

The ideal candidate is creative and engaging, active and patient, and willing to travel to different locations. The ideal candidate should be active and willing to go on walks, as well as like videogames.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services.

Hours and days of work : Open availability up to 18 hours per week

Starting pay : $16.00

Location : Oneida, NY

Qualifications :

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in the person's home and / or community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
• No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.

Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency.
