What You’ll Contribute
A Media Sr Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for the scope, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction of a project throughout its lifecycle. The PM oversees and performs project management functions on all Broadcast projects, budgets, and scopes. The SPM will act as the primary person responsible for assigned projects with direct control over all project activities. Daily activities include project communications, scheduling, task lists for team participants, managing deliverables from the consulting team, and overseeing completion of projects. The PM aims to complete consulting projects on time and on budget while achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. Most time is spent managing projects and communicating with stakeholders. The role includes helping to improve Diversified processes, maintaining a strong long-term client relationship, and managing client expectations and satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
Provide clear leadership and ownership for the project within Diversified, including timely verbal and written communication and follow-up.
Coordinate all activities to ensure on-time, on-budget completion, engaging stakeholders, delegating responsibilities, and running client and internal meetings.
Support and assist team members to help them succeed.
Maintain appropriate and frequent communication between stakeholders.
Resolve conflicts and design, plan, and coordinate work teams for Media and Entertainment consulting projects.
Own individual projects and assignments; establish and maintain communication with Account Executives, Directors, consultants, clients, and subject matter experts.
Develop and communicate project updates; monitor labor budgets; provide or direct technical and administrative support to project team members; develop and maintain project schedules.
Coordinate deliverable documentation between internal and external stakeholders; direct document reviews; provide punch-lists after substantial completion.
Coordinate contracts with contractors when necessary; monitor project status (cost, timing, staffing) to ensure timely and accurate completion; ensure quality and continuous improvement.
Coordinate project transitions to later phase project teams.
Complexity and Decision Making
Projects vary; the SPM negotiates a complex set of variables across discovery, analysis, design, and stakeholder expectations. The PM communicates effectively, balances schedules, budgets, scope, quality, and client satisfaction. The role has ownership of the project and acts as single point of responsibility and accountability, while managing a broad range of decisions with input from stakeholders.

Manage financials, including budget performance and profitability; ensure timely and correct billings.
Proactively communicate options to stakeholders and manage decisions.
Physical Demands
Normal office conditions; use of standard office equipment.
Travel
Some travel by car and occasional airplane trips; 10% remote travel is not unusual. Valid driver’s license required; reimbursement for mileage at corporate rate.
Safety
Ensure team safety and adherence to site visit requirements. Duties may include :
Maintain PPE as required; address hazards; participate in incident investigations and reporting.
Conduct safety walk-throughs and prepare safety documentation (e.g., JSA, Site Safety Plans).
Education and Certifications
PMP certification from PMI is desired.
Other relevant certifications may be required or preferred based on technology focus (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, Agile project management, software / project / program management, organizational change management, cloud technologies).
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
5+ years as a project manager in media technology projects, especially in consulting.
Knowledge of broadcast operations and technologies; comfortable with hardware and software solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication; supervisory and people skills.
Ability to manage design / build projects for the Media unit when not managing consulting projects.
Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical, political, and people-related problems.
Proven track record of successfully completing engineering projects; understanding of project phases from Program to Commissioning.
Understanding of the consulting process including discovery, business analysis, workflow documentation, roadmaps, and system integration with related drawings and specifications.
Detail-oriented, independent, self-starter with excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
Experience with complex broadcast infrastructures (e.g., $10-30M projects; >
6 professionals; >
$1M annual budgets).
Knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, production systems; IP transport protocols (HD / SDI, SMPTE 2110); TCP / IP, ACLs, QoS, VLANs; wireless.
Certified Scrum Master is a plus.
