Allegheny Health Network is seeking a full-time Division Director of Emergency Radiology for AHNs Imaging Institute.
Division Director Administrative Duties :
- Oversight, strategic direction, and operational management of the Emergency Radiology division within the radiology department.
- Requires a highly skilled and experienced radiologist with expertise in emergency imaging, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the radiology department, referring physicians, and hospital administration to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of emergency radiology services.
Duties / Overview :
Provide onsite diagnostic emergency radiology coverage at an academic medical center that includes an adult Level 1 trauma center, as well as a Level 2 trauma center.Coverage is also provided remotely to the emergency departments of our community hospitals.Work schedule of 7-day overnight blocks every third week with blocks consisting of 9-hour weekday shifts and 10-hour weekend shifts; emergency radiologists are not expected to work past the conclusion of their shift.Each shift is covered by 2-3 members of the emergency radiology division, who work collaboratively on a global worklist. Residents provide preliminary interpretations on scans performed at AHNs teaching hospitals.All AHN facilities feature state-of-the-art equipment and PACS system.Compensation Overview

Completion of ACGME approved radiology residencyCompletion of fellowship preferred, not requiredBoard Eligible / Board Certified in RadiologyDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)Participation in Maintenance of Certification or eligibility for such is required.Actively participate in the training program in terms of clinical and didactic teaching to the residents and medical students.Licensed in the state of Pennsylvania prior to employmentDemonstrated career interest in emergency radiology as well as strong clinical skills in all modalities and organ systems.Must be able to function at a high level in the fast-paced, time-sensitive emergency setting, and work well in a collaborative setting.Candidates will be required to read US, CT, MRI, and conventional radiography; however, performance of image-guided procedures is not a requirement.AHN Proudly Offers
