The Senior IT Technician supports the region in installing and maintaining PCs, hardware and software in the Regional Office and different centers in the areas, under the direction and guidance of the IT Manager / Director in the Corporate Office.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, support and maintain PC hardware including but not limited to desktops, laptops, iPads, monitors, printers, and audio / visual equipment.
- Install, support and maintain software in a Windows environment, which includes but is not limited to Windows 10 / 11, MS Office and web-based applications.
- Administer and maintain information systems and Saas applications where applicable.
- Maintain proper documentation as required by department leadership to properly track the status of all service calls, to assist the helpdesk in providing prompt response to users and report on the progress of duties related to project participation.
- Carry out special tasks at Management's direction.
- Draft FAQs and support documentation as directed, or as situational needs arise.
- Assist IT Manager in planning IT budget needs.
- Monitor ticketing system and respond to appropriate queues, recording detailed solutions as necessary, within the timelines established by the SLAs.
- Keep systems up-to-date through operating systems upgrades.
- Provide technical support either by phone, remote access or site visits as needed.
- Set up equipment for new hires.
- Install, test and monitor servers, routers, firewalls and VoIP systems.
- Provide guidance to junior members of the team as required.
- Act as supervisor to IT Technician as assigned per region
- Provide training to new employees in the use of computer, network, and voice systems.
- Ensure security and operational standards / procedures are followed and maintained in accordance to company policies and industry best practices.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications :
AA Degree in Information Technology or related field.Minimum 2-4 years of related experience as a help desk technician or IT support.Preferred Qualifications :
BA Degree in Information Technology or related field.COMPTIA Network + or similarKey Competencies :
Proven ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues quickly and effectively.VOIP phone setup, management and troubleshooting. Polycom experience is a plus.Experience using Windows Server 2012, 2016, Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS.Mobile device management, primarily iOS devices. JAMF experience is a plus.Experience with web filter applications.Office 365 management and troubleshooting.Knowledge of LANs, TCP / IP, Firewalls, Routers, and Switches.Extensive application support experience with Windows 10, 11, and Microsoft 365 Suite of applications.Up-to-date knowledge of new systems, information, software, and upgrades.Additional knowledge of Mac OS a plus but not required.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to effectively plan, prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.Highly self-motivated and directed.Keen attention to detail.Provide own transportation to travel to sites throughout the area.Ability to work independently with guidance from manager at a different location.Be able to pass Fingerprinting requirement.Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment up to 40 lbs.Working Conditions :
Generally pleasant working conditions.Less than 50% of daily assignments involve prolonged physical effort.Shift Type : Full Time, Hybrid (3 days in office / field)
Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 hour shift
Compensation : $23.55 / hr - $35.32 / hr
