Manager Of Claims & Underwriting Training

Looking for an opportunity to lead the learning and development function for our Claims and Underwriting business units?

Step into a role where you'll lead transformation. As the Manager of Claims & Underwriting Training, you'll oversee the design and delivery of training programs across both functions, creating engaging, high-impact learning experiences that strengthen performance, elevate service, and fuel employee growth.

You'll lead a talented team of Supervisors, Training Specialists, and Instructional Designersboth on-site and remotedriving innovation, collaboration, and excellence. By partnering with senior leaders in both Claims and Underwriting, you'll align training strategies with business priorities, measure outcomes, and deliver enterprise-wide learning solutions that set new standards for success.

What You'll Do :

  • Lead a team that includes supervisors, administrative staff, instructional designers and training specialists both locally and remotely across multiple markets.
  • Be in regular contact with individuals at all levels of the organization on a variety of learning and development issues in an effort to enable business performance as well as collaborate with senior leadership across the organization.
  • Lead professional skills improvement, soft-skills training, and technical training programs on an organization-wide basis for our business units.
  • Work on the design and facilitation of claims and underwriting training.
  • Develop and manage our learning platforms.
  • Direct and manage cross-functional committees and supervise the design and implementation of their training programs with the intent of promoting improved member service and workforce performance through professional development and interdepartmental business process improvements.
  • Be involved with making decisions involving the direction of major projects, implementing plans that affect the strategic direction of assigned projects.

What You'll Need :

  • B.A. in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Training or Insurance or equivalent combination of work experience and education required. MA / MBA preferred.
  • Experience working in a multi-state environment, with learners in numerous geographies and time zones.
  • Experience in developing Insurance Claims and Underwriting training curriculum and multiple content areas for a multi-state audience, with a high degree collaboration with multi-state team members.
  • Certificates from ATD or similar organizations preferred.
  • Insurance related professional designations preferred.
  • SHRM-SCP / SPHR preferred.
  • 3+ years in administering learning and development programs.
  • 3+ years in managing employees and / or supervisors.
  • 3+ years in Instructional Design.
  • Instructional Design certifications a plus.
  • Proven skills in project management.
  • LMS knowledge.
  • The starting pay range for this position is $106,900.00 - $142,200.00. Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
