- Reconcile all cash accounts daily (I)
- Prepare and post monthly closing journal entries (I)
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly (I)
- Review and validate financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance (I, G)
- Participate in quality and process improvement initiatives related to accounting and billing (G)
- Maintain accurate accounting records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal / contractual requirements (I)
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities as requested (G)
- Provide excellent customer service and communication with stakeholders (W, C)
- Assist in education and training for the finance team (G)
- Attend mandatory staff meetings, training, and continuing education events (G)
- Act in accordance with Odyssey House mission, philosophy, policies, and legal requirements (I)
- Other duties as assigned (I)
Skills
Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practicesStrong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency with ERP / accounting software; advanced Microsoft Excel requiredExceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and time managementEffective written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholdersCommitment to confidentiality, ethical accounting standards, and mission-driven serviceAdaptability, initiative, and eagerness for continuous professional growthRequirements : Qualifications
Required :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting3 years of professional accounting experienceAbility to pass a criminal background checkFirst Aid and CPR Certification (can be obtained through Odyssey House)Compliance with immunization requirements (flu, COVID-19, TB, as needed)Valid U.S. work eligibilityCommitment to a drug-free lifestyle (per policy)Bonus qualifications include CPA, MBA, or Master of Accountancy.
Compensation & Benefits
