The Business Solutions Officer / AVP / VP is responsible for business deposit development activities and strategies that promote growth of business deposits and related services through acquisition of new relationships and expanding and enhancing existing relationships. Leads the Bank’s Depository Services Program and provides customer service support for depository services customers. Officer level is based in industry experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
- Develop and manage new and existing business depository relationships by identifying prospects, negotiating pricing, and researching opportunities for depository products and services to reach established annual goals
- Maintain knowledge of the bank’s commercial deposit accounts, cash management, letters of credit, credit cards and other bank accounts
- Provide financial consultation to existing customers and prospective customers to assist them reach their goals as well as potentially maintain a long-term banking relationship
- Call on potential or existing customers to develop, expand and manage business depository relationships, and increase or retain existing business
- Directly support commercial lenders / relationship managers, retail bankers, and wealth management with sales support activities and customer onboarding of business deposit customers
- Meet regularly with lending, retail, and wealth management staff to support business depository services and provide best practices for sales and referral opportunities
- Develop, Support and grow the bank’s merchant servicing and credit card partnerships
- Retail branch visits, training and banker mentoring with the bank’s business banking program
- Work with ALCO and the finance team on deposit pricing
- Perform annual reviews & touchpoints with the bank’s business banking clients
- Represent the bank with community involvement, center of Influence development, and networking
- Work with Chief Banking Officer and banking division team on marketing activities
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position

Understand and adhere to all bank policies, underwriting requirements, laws and regulations applicable to the roleComplete compliance training and follow internal processes and controls as requiredMaintains an active role in various bank committees as assignedAssists all associates with deposit inquiriesReport all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policiesRemain informed of changes in bank policies, procedures and productsRemain informed of existing and proposed compliance regulationsPerform other reasonable duties as assigned by immediate supervisorREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS :
Minimum of 2 years of business depository services or cash management sales experience requiredBachelor’s degree in business administration or related field or education and equivalent work experience preferredPossess strong analytical skills and sound judgmentPossess strong oral and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skills requiredDemonstrates a high degree of self-motivation and initiativeProficient in Microsoft Office products and in working with other financial softwareStrong independent decision makingValid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation to drive to various locations to make sales calls and / or assist business customerPHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Must be able to articulate thoughts and express ideas effectively using oral, written and non-verbal communication skillsMust have finger dexterity to use a keyboard, telephone, paper, files and other equipment and objects
