About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our school health team. The School Nurse plays a vital role in promoting the health, safety, and academic success of students. This is an excellent opportunity for an LPN who enjoys working with children, making a positive impact, and being part of an educational community.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to students, including first aid, medication administration, and health assessments.
- Support students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, seizures) by following individualized care plans.
- Monitor and document student health concerns, treatments, and outcomes in compliance with school and state regulations.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and healthcare providers to support student well-being.
- Promote health education and preventative care for students and staff.
- Okay with bus rides
Qualifications
Active and unrestricted LPN license in the state of MA.BLS (required).Prior pediatric, school, or community health experience preferred (not required).Strong communication and organizational skills.Compassion, patience, and the ability to work effectively with children of all ages.Schedule & Benefits
