Position Summary :
The VDC Designer III will be able to create a model from customer or GC supplied model. Import Commonwealth content to have a working electrical model. Supervise other Designers assigned to project. This role interacts with various departments within the company as well as with other disciplines outside of the company.
Primary Responsibilities :
Layout electrical equipment for field installation
Coordinate field installation drawings with project foremen
Create 3D models utilizing Autodesk Revit
Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Manage
Audit and review models in Autodesk Revit
Attend weekly coordination meetings with project team members
Lead and supervise other Designers assigned to projects
Exemplify, promote and foster our purpose of Committed to Excellence through our Core Values of Customers, Employees, Character and Mastery
All other duties as assigned and required
Required Qualifications :
Knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
Thorough knowledge of electrical construction processes and procedures
Highly organized, detail-oriented and hard working
Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels
Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Education and Experience :
At least 6 years relevant experience with progressive responsibilities including team management.
Associates degree in 3D Modeling OR journeyman electrician license preferred.
