Description
Responsibilities :
Answer, prioritize, and dispatch emergency and routine calls for law enforcement, fire, and medical services. Operate a two-way radio, utilize a computer-aided dispatch system, and perform related duties. Must work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends, and be able to respond during civil unrest and natural disasters.
Qualifications :
Be at least 18 years old
Possess a valid Florida Driver’s License
Have a High School Diploma or GED
Meet all disqualifiers as indicated on the employment application
Become State Certified within 12 months of hire and maintain certification
Take and pass a Basic FCIC class and maintain certification
Pass a computerized skills test with a minimum score of 70% and 2860 keystrokes per hour
