See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:** **Position Overview** **:** Our **Boat Loader I** safely loads and secures finished boats by operating powered industrial equipment (forklifts, hoists, pallet jacks, yard trucks, etc.) and positioning trailers for shipment. This role builds and installs wood and steel rigging, containers, and uprights using hand tools, saws, and blueprint measurements while following standard work and safety procedures. The position requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, accurate paperwork, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced production environment. **A** **t Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.** Essential Functions (https://bconline.sharepoint.com/sites/JDRefreshProjectTeam/Shared%20Documents/General/Essential%20Functions%20-%20ADA%20Compliant.pdf) : + Supports safe work practices and 5S + Ability to operate powered industrial equipment such as **forklifts, hoists, pallet jacks, yard spotters, and semis to position trailers and load product onto trailers or containers.** Certification is preferred. + Secure product to transport equipment by following standard operations procedures + Cutting various wooden rigging elements used in loading product + Construct steel rigging and uprights necessary to haul specific loads + Ability to utilize saws and hand tools to construct shipping containers as needed + Communicate and coordinate with other departments as needed + Report supply needs, equipment breakdowns, shortages and poor-quality materials to supervisor or lead + Demonstrated ability to perform work to designated standard work/cycle times. + Accurately completes different types of paperwork as required. + Cleans equipment and work area as required, including but not limited to, monthly preventative maintenance, daily equipment inspections, and all routine audits + Perform other duties as assigned **Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.** Required Qualifications: + High School Diploma or GED. + **Previous forklift experience required** + **1 to 3 years of heavy machinery movement preferred.** + Demonstrated ability to work effectively with other employees in a team environment. + Must have excellent verbal communication skills, + Detail oriented + Work independently in a fast-paced environment. + Must have demonstrated proficiency in reading blueprints, a tape measure, and basic math skills. Specific work areas may require additional certification. The anticipated pay range for this position is **_$21.00 - $22.00, hourly._** The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business context. The employee is constantly walking, pushing/pulling, reaching, and climbing stairs. The employee is occasionally squatting, kneeling, and using fine hand movements such as tightening screws, bolts, and securing pins. Specific vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
