Our direct client is looking for an experienced Cloud Architect with development experience to join our client's team on a consulting basis. This individual will be serving as the technical expert in orchestrating the placement and interaction of application components to meet agency business requirements while also addressing sustainability, cost efficiency, standardization, security, compliance, and strategic alignment, primarily for IT system modernization initiatives. The individual will ensure the Cloud infrastructure is effectively integrated with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) packages, Software as a Service (SaaS), web services, and other federal, state, and local government applications and services, both internal and external to the State. The position will provide technical expertise and leadership to application development teams, focusing on usability, security, scalability, maintainability, and reusability.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills :

• Experience with and knowledge of .NET, HTML, XML, SQL, SOAP, REST, PowerShell, IaC, Microsoft Azure, Function Apps.
• Experience writing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Knowledge of both Microsoft Azure, web-based, and client server-based systems architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud application development environments, frameworks, and tools.
• Ability to analyze complex situations, communicate effectively with diverse audiences, and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong skills in gathering and analyzing data, defining problems, and recommending effective solutions.
• Ability to conduct interviews, establish strong relationships with system users, and explain technical concepts clearly.
• Proficiency in modern development frameworks and programming languages, including .NET, HTML, XML, SQL, SOAP, REST, PowerShell, and Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of database concepts, secure coding practices, web services, and distributed application design.
• Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Visio and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Ability to troubleshoot application issues, manage complex assignments, and meet deadlines in high-pressure environments.
• Proficiency with message queuing systems (e.g., Redis, RabbitMQ, or similar)
• Experience working with Azure technologies
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar non-relational databases)
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps
• Proficiency in creating and managing CI / CD pipelines
• Experience with developing applications using containers and container orchestration tools
• Practical experience in configuring cache and message queuing systems using tools like Redis or RabbitMQ

Codeworks, LLC discloses that the anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $65 / hr and $80 / hr. This range is subject to change based on job-related factors, including client requirements where applicable.
