About the Role
The Assistant Banquets Manager supports the daily operations, service execution, and team leadership of the Banquet department to ensure every event large or intimate reflects Four Seasons commitment to exceptional quality and memorable guest experiences. Working closely with the Director of Banquets and Food & Beverage leadership team, the Assistant Manager provides hands-on guidance throughout event setup, service, and breakdown while fostering a positive, engaged, and service-driven team culture.
What You Will Do
Support the Banquets leadership team in overseeing daily banquet operations, including room setup, service execution, and event breakdown.
Provide active, on-the-floor leadership during events to ensure service excellence and adherence to Four Seasons standards.
Assist in training, coaching, motivating, and developing banquet servers, captains, and support staff.
Collaborate with Culinary, Stewarding, Sales / Catering, and F&B teams to ensure clear communication and seamless event execution.
Help monitor labor, inventory, and operating expenses by supporting efficient scheduling and proper use of resources.
Participate in pre-event and post-event meetings, contributing insights to enhance guest satisfaction and operational effectiveness.
Support service for high-profile, VIP, or complex functions as needed.
What You Bring
At least 1-2 years of banquet event management experience, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
Strong time management skills : ability to multi-task, set priorities, and adjust to changing conditions. Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to operate all computer equipment necessary to perform the job.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work closely with other departments and communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and guests.
Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
Flexibility to work a diverse schedule encompassing days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
