About The Position

Must-Have :

• Must be available for holiday coverage
• Must have experience in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
• First-time travelers accepted

Description :

The unit is a 16-bed facility.

Patients include those with sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, and multi-organ failure.

The nurse patient ratio is 1 : 2 with occasional 1 : 1 based on acuity.

Skills required include arterial line management, chest tube assistance, ventilator management, and central line care.

Experience in managing patients on ECMO is preferred.

Knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and dysrhythmia management is essential.

The unit collaborates with interdisciplinary support teams, including respiratory, pharmacy, and physical therapy.

Weekend requirements include working every other weekend.

Candidates must be willing to float as needed.

Candidates within a 75-mile radius are not accepted.

Experience with the Epic charting system is required.
