Overview :
The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers and support staff as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical problems. Within their Engineering Departments, the Engineering Manager is responsible for making day-to-day decisions that align with the corporate strategy and benefit the company. In addition, the Engineering Manager works with Upper Management and other functional areas to develop and enforce corporate and business unit processes and standards.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Lead an engineering team (engineers, specialists, technicians, etc.) in the efforts of research, design, development, and production release of technical solutions.
- Assist in gathering project specifications, developing overall concepts and cost estimates, and drafting system proposals for new products.
- Continually review and maintain the Engineering Change process and Engineering Documentation Standards while conducting audits to ensure the engineering staff conforms to the process and standards in place.
- Assist Manufacturing and Quality in the development of production, quality assurance, and testing procedures.
- Coordinate activities of their respective Engineering Department with other functional units to ensure project deliverables and timelines are met.
- Participate in administrative actions such as performance reviews, solving internal issues, hiring, training, and mentoring other engineers and supporting staff.
- Oversee the implementation of the functional IT packages within their respective Engineering Department such as CAD or software development toolsets.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering field and 5 years of experience in an engineering environment or equivalent combination of years of experience and education required.5-10 years of experience with fluid power system design, preferredStrong leadership skills.Ability to manage multiple projects.Working knowledge of Microsoft software suite.Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced work environment.Self-directed and able to prioritize responsibilities.Detail oriented with an appreciation for deadlines.Enthusiastic attitude with good listening skills.Benefits :
