Responsibilities Inpatient Group Therapist - Weekends Fee For Service / Registry The candidate selected will be responsible for the following : The Inpatient Group Therapist performs social service functions to include assisting clients in meeting their bio-psycho-social needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, and specialized clinical social services for consumers / families receiving care. The clinical social services provided includes crisis intervention, individual therapy, short and / or long-term family therapy, group therapy, treatment planning and discharge planning. The Group Therapist serves as an integral member of the treatment team and is also responsible for case management of consumers internal / external support systems. Qualifications EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION : Master’s Degree in a mental health / human services field is required. A minimum of two years experience in a behavioral health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention and treatment skills is preferred; must have strong clinical assessment skills, with majority of experience focused on the child / adolescent population. LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION : LCSW, LSW, LPC, LCPC or LMFT is required within two years of employment. Employee may pursue designation of Clinical Psychologist instead of above licensures. Primary Source Verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations SKILLS : Trained in psychotherapy techniques providing therapy, training in evidenced based models including CBT, DBT, etc. preferred. Time management and experience completing therapeutic documentation.
