The Pizza Maker reports directly to the Food Service Director. The Pizza Maker will be responsible for preparing and cooking pizzas, ensuring high-quality food meets our standards. The role
also involves providing excellent customer service, prep and handling food orders, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This is a part time position 15-20 hours / week and is
classified as Non-Exempt with no benefits. The Jewish Community Center is an EOE (equal opportunity employer).
Essential Functions :
- Pizza making
- Preps, cooks and fulfills orders
- Support for catering events and catering pickup orders
- Requires working on Wednesday’s and Sunday’s and occasional evenings
- Adhere to standard operating procedures for food quality and food handling.
- Keeps Registered Food Manager’s certificate current.
- Performs other duties assigned by Food Service Director.
Required Experience & Education :
Minimum of 3 years in food prep and cooking in a commercial kitchen or restaurant setting.Previous Food and Beverage industry experienceHighly organized and detailed orientedAble and willing to take directionAbility tolift50 lbs. and carry items while walkingAbility to stand for extended periods of timeStrong Customer Service and Communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentReliable and dependableProfessional in appearance, manner and toneA team player who possesses the ability to work in a team environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent is preferredPreviousexperience in a similar role is a plusIt is expected that the Pizza Maker will be a team player as part of the JCC Professional Staff. He / she is expected to be aware of the JCC Mission Statement and work within the frameworks of that mission. Responsibilities of the job may be changed as the needs of the JCC and / or community change.
