Maintenance Mechanic

It's an exciting time to be part of IFF. IFF is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to join its dynamic team located at its manufacturing site in Gibson City, IL. This role is responsible for maintaining industrial process and packaging equipment at required operating levels at the site. As a mechanic you will be replacing parts, repairing equipment, and performing preventative maintenance. This position begins at a starting wage of $20 per hour. Wages will increase in line with union rates, in accordance with Illinois state laws, and based on the candidate's performance.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Execute maintenance work orders
• Perform preventative / predictive maintenance on equipment as assigned
• Install and align new / repaired equipment using laser alignment equipment as needed
• Service, troubleshoot, and repair any problem of mechanical nature including, but not limited to, pumps, grinders, conveyors, fans, limited fire protection, service piping (steam, water, process, hydraulic and pneumatic).
• Verification of successful repair / installation prior to equipment turn over to operations
• Maintain adherence to site safety, environmental requirements and other policies
