Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to be based in Orange or Los Angeles, California

Responsibilities

• Lead traffic engineering projects throughout California
• Plan approvals through LADOT and Caltrans
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, clients, regulatory agency staff, and the public; write concise and readable technical reports and documents
• Support a wide range of traffic engineering projects for roadway, freeway, transit systems, managed lanes, and bicycle and pedestrian facilities
• Demonstrate self-motivation with multi-tasking, detail-oriented work, independent work, and strong time management
• Gather and correlate engineering data using established procedures
• Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving design calculations, analysis, value engineering, writing technical specifications, and project cost estimates
• Propose approaches to solve new problems and apply innovative design solutions using current technology
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and coaching to entry level / junior engineers or technicians
• Work within agreed budgets and schedules with minimal supervision
• Utilize Microsoft Office programs and relevant software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project) and work with MicroStation and AutoCAD
• Deliver high-quality deliverables consistently

Additional Information

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $145,000 to $230,000.
