Job description

Are you a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist seeking a locum tenens opportunity? A facility near Philadelphia, PA, is seeking coverage to meet the needs of an increasing patient volume. This assignment offers a mix of inpatient care, call coverage, and procedural work, making it an excellent opportunity for experienced providers.

Assignment Highlights

Start Date : 11 / 25 / 2024
Duration : Ongoing, with initial commitment through 02 / 01 / 2025, extendable.
Location : Near Philadelphia, PA.
Practice Setting : Inpatient, with no outpatient responsibilities.
EMR System : Epic (experience preferred).

Schedule and Coverage

Weekday Rounding : Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 5 PM at one hospital per day.

Night Call : 5 PM - 7 AM (phone consultations only).

Weekend Call and Rounding : Includes calls and in-person rounding both Saturday and Sunday. Weekend shifts run from Friday 5 PM through Monday 7 AM.

Call Ratio : 1 : 5.

Patient and Procedural Details

Patients Per Day : Hospital census averages 20-25 with support from 2 NPs and residents.

Procedures Required :

Echocardiograms (including TEE).

Nuclear Stress Tests.

Vascular Studies.

Specialty Skills Needed : Non-invasive cardiology expertise, including TEE and diagnostic imaging.

Requirements

Certifications : ACLS, ATLS, BLS.

Licensure : Must hold an active Pennsylvania license.

Board Status : Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiology.

Fellowship : Required.

Credentialing Timeframe : Approximately 90 days (temporary privileges available for qualified candidates).

Additional Information

Support Staff : Includes hospitalists, experienced RNs, and a team of 5 cardiology providers.

Privileges : Providers will need to submit case logs for TEE, Echo, and Nuclear Stress Test procedures.
