Job description

Cardiothoracic Surgery First Assist, Louisiana - Locums PA

Join a high-performing CTS team near New Orleans with full-time weekday blocks and a 1 : 3 call rotation.

Highlights

  • Two openings; help build a true 1 : 3 call schedule
  • Ongoing weekday need; start in 30 days
  • Block scheduling flexibility around your calendar
  • Work alongside 5 surgeons and advanced OR support

Practice Setting

  • Inpatient and OR-focused role
  • Full scope CTS / CVS, including transplant support
  • Vein harvesting required
  • Tight-knit team with advanced tech and experienced staff

    • Schedule

  • Monday-Friday, 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm
  • Every third day and weekend call
  • Ongoing assignment with no end date
  • Full-time blocks or part-time options considered

    • Cases and Procedures

  • Adult cardiothoracic surgery
  • Vein harvesting and transplants
  • Consistent surgical volume across full case spectrum

    • Requirements

  • Board Certified Physician Assistant
  • Active Louisiana license required

    • Travel Accommodations

  • Travel and lodging support included
  • Minutes from New Orleans; great food, music, and culture
