Labor & Delivery RN Job Details – Knoxville, TN Job Title : Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract Location : Knoxville, TN 37920 (East Tennessee healthcare jobs) Healthcare Setting : Labor & Delivery Unit Contract Type : Travel Nursing Assignment Start Date : December 15, 2025 End Date : March 16, 2026 Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 (Guaranteed) Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,730 - $1,770 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Tennessee or compact state) Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Intermediate Course certification NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification Experience with Cerner EMR / charting system Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions considered) Ability to float within Women’s and Infants scope (may occasionally work in Post-Partum / Ante-Partum units) Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Deliver compassionate, expert care to laboring mothers and newborns in a clinical setting Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpret fetal heart tracings, and respond to obstetric emergencies Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes Accurately document patient care using Cerner electronic medical records Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical education as required Work every other weekend and adapt to unit needs, including occasional floating within scope Discover the beauty of Knoxville, TN while making a difference in the lives of mothers and babies.
