TCI has an immediate need for a Remote IT Business Analyst in Frankfort, KY. This is NOT a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire. Remote work is considered for candidates residing in Eastern Time Zone only. NOTE : This position requires US Citizenship. SUMMARY The IT Business Analyst will assist with developing local and federal government documentation policies, procedures, financial reports, applications, staffing resource tracking, and / or system requirements. The candidate must have either prior experience in providing business analysis on a large-scale IT system or prior experience determining eligibility or supporting one or more of the following programs : Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) and / or Medicaid. RESPONSIBILITIES Working with the project team and vendor to assist with gathering and finalizing business requirements. Statement of work review / assignment monitoring. Joint application development attendance / monitoring. Review detail design documentation. Participate in division initiative discussions. Transition planning and monitoring. Participating in system research and testing, preparing, and reviewing project documents and deliverables as necessary, etc. Project Manager type to take lead in initial design work with vendor and Business partners. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of recent, relevant work experience. 3+ years working in a Business Analyst position or 3-5 + years strong background in the programs supported (SNAP, TANF, CCAP and / or Medicaid). 1+ years of experience with SQL preferred but not required. Experience defining business problems, gathering, and documenting requirements, determining business solutions and verifying solutions meet requirements. Ability to handle extreme workloads with general direction. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in conjunction with team members. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficient problem-solving skills. Must be adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of SDLC methodology. Relationship management and facilitation skills. Strong decision-making ability. Must be detail oriented.
