We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Salisbury, North Carolina. In this role, you will manage payroll processes with precision and confidentiality, ensuring employees are compensated accurately and on schedule. Responsibilities :

• Gather and validate employee timekeeping data to ensure accuracy in payroll processing.
• Calculate and process regular paychecks, direct deposits, and additional compensation such as overtime, holiday pay, and vacation pay.
• Prepare and distribute tax documents, including W-2s and 1099s, in compliance with regulations.
• Reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain up-to-date employee payroll records and ensure data integrity.
• Provide payroll-related reports to the accounting team for review and analysis.
• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary payroll documentation.
• Utilize payroll software such as UKG Pro, UKG Ready, or Acumatica to streamline payroll operations.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with multi-state payroll regulations.
• Proven experience handling full-cycle payroll for 101-500 employees.
• Proficiency in multi-state payroll processes and associated regulations.
• Familiarity with payroll systems such as UKG Pro, UKG Ready, or Acumatica.
• Strong knowledge of payroll principles and basic accounting practices.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Ability to analyze and resolve payroll discrepancies effectively.
• High school diploma required; advanced coursework or an associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in payroll for construction companies is a plus.
